Bridgestone DriveGuard is an all-season (for light snow) tire with an asymmetric tread pattern, designed for a wide range of passenger cars: coupe, sedans and station wagons with Run-Flat technology
DriveGuard is designed to be installed exclusively on vehicles equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) tire pressure monitoring system.
One of the main advantages of Drive Guard is the use of the third generation 3G RFT Run-Flat technology, which makes it possible to drive with a flat tire up to 80 kilometers at a speed of up to 80 km / h. This technology is based on three “whales”:
– technology NanoPro-Tech, significantly reducing heat generation, even with zero pressure in the tire;
– special cord, providing cushioning even in the case of a complete loss of pressure;
– special cooling fins that prevent the accumulation of heat.
At the same time, according to the manufacturer, the use of 3G RFT technology has brought the performance characteristics of a self-supporting tire to the performance of Bridgestone tires of the premium segment. Contributed to this and lightweight tire design.
